2. Information We Collect
Information You Provide:
- Account information: Your name, email address, and @username when you create an account
- Profile information: Your display name, profile photo, and bio
- Voice recordings: Audio recordings you submit as responses to daily questions
- Voice replies and text comments: Any replies or comments you post on other users' responses
Information Collected Automatically:
- Usage data: How you interact with the app
- Device information: Device type, operating system, and browser type
- Log data: IP address, access times, and pages viewed
3. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide, operate, and maintain the PeaPod service
- Display your profile and voice responses to other users according to your privacy settings
- Enable social features such as following, reactions, and comments
- Send notifications about activity on your account
- Improve and develop new features
- Ensure the safety and security of our platform
- Comply with legal obligations
4. Voice Recordings
By submitting a voice recording, you understand that:
- Your voice recording may be heard by other users depending on your privacy settings
- Voice recordings are stored securely on our servers
- You can delete your own recordings at any time
- We do not sell your voice recordings to third parties
- We do not use your voice recordings to train AI models without your explicit consent
5. How We Share Your Information
We do not sell your personal information. We may share your information in the following limited circumstances:
- With other users: Your public profile and public responses are visible to other users. Friends-only responses are only visible to mutual followers.
- Service providers: We use Supabase for database and storage. These providers are contractually obligated to protect your data.
- Legal requirements: We may disclose your information if required by law or to protect the rights and safety of our users.
- Business transfers: If PeaPod is acquired or merges with another company, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction.
6. Your Privacy Controls
- Post visibility: Each voice response can be set to Public or Friends Only
- Private account: You can make your whole account private so only approved followers hear your answers
- Blocking and reporting: You can block any user and report any content from within the app
- Delete content: You can delete your voice responses, comments, and reactions at any time
- Delete account: You can permanently delete your account and all associated data in the app via Settings → Delete Account
7. Data Retention
We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will delete your personal data within 30 days. Voice recordings are deleted immediately upon your request.
8. Children's Privacy
PeaPod is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
9. Data Security
We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information. Your data is stored using Supabase, which employs industry-standard security practices.
10. Third-Party Services
PeaPod uses Supabase for database, authentication, and file storage (supabase.com/privacy).
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Your continued use of PeaPod after changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
